Description: For sale is a gorgeous 1971-S Eisenhower GSA Proof Silver Dollar in the original government packaging. The Eisenhower Dollar, also known as "Ike Dollars," were minted between 1971 & 1978 and was the first US silver dollar minted since 1935! The GSA Dollar was a program where the General Services Administration from the government instructed the US Mint to place the coins in special promotional packaging to sell the coins as collector's items. This coin is still in the original GSA Mint packaging, which is the brown presentation box with a simulated wood grain finish--total 70's throwback décor! This coin is 40% silver. As you can see from the pics the coin is in awesome shape. It has the same gorgeous mint luster as if it was fresh from the mint and it has that mirror image and frosty reliefs you would expect from collector's proof coins. It has some very slight ghost toning which is very common with proof coins from this era. Otherwise it has no major blemishes, and even the original packaging is in great shape. I do have multiple coins available in the exact same condition and packaging if you were interested in buying more than one. I always give discounts for multiple quantities and always combine shipping. This is a great collector's coin that can be had at a very low price! Thanks!
