Description: The Chicken Feeder Port can be used in a container of your choice. Many like to use a 5 gallon bucket or container that is not as easy to tip as some smaller feeders. Our Drip Depot 3.5 gallon round bucket will also work. Minimum round bucket diameter of 11.5 inches is required for proper sealing of the Chicken Feeder Port. This is a DIY gravity type feed system. You will need to use a 3" hole saw to cut a hole into the bucket or other container and install the feeder ports. Simply remove the threaded ring from the feeder port and insert port into the hole then secure in place by tightening the ring. Assure the protective bonnet is positioned on top so rain and bad weather do not ruin the feed. Placing the container 6 - 10 inches off the ground will deter rodents and other birds from getting at the feed. Your birds will stick their head into the port opening and access all the feed they need. Port assembly includes a rubber seal and a critter cap to keep insects and varmints out when not in use.
