Roscoe Custom-Built Tele - Evan Johns’ Personal Guitar [IYKYK!] -Cherry Sunburs

Description: This awesome carved-top Tele is the personal guitar of Evan Johns, an Austin, TX rockabilly legend! Johns famously played with and wrote several songs for Danny Gatton before forming his own band, “the H-Bombs”, later joining The LeRoi Brothers! This guitar was custom-built for Johns by Roscoe Guitars in Greensboro, NC. The guitar is in very good condition, and is still playing and sounding great! Any bumps and bruises were put there by Evan Johns himself, although any finish damage disappears from a few feet away. This guitar has a chunky hard-V shaped neck and a 22-fret Rosewood fretboard with Evan Johns’ name inlaid. The humbuckers (Dimarzio?) have a thick tone that can be split using the push-pull tone knob. The Bigsby B-5 tailpiece appears to be an old one, possibly predating the guitar. It may be an old piece of gear that Johns had on hand and asked Roscoe to use on the build. A rectangular hardshell case comes with it to protect the guitar.
