Description: This is a vintage, 26" tall, Indonesian rod puppet. These are called Wayang Golek which means shadow and, in Indonesia, and that what they call these rod puppets. I believe this is old because it has spots and small paint chips on the head and the strings that hold the arms at the joints are loose and need tightening. Part of the height belongs to a 4" wood base. She is decorated with sequins, beads, ribbons and a long dress of Indonesian fabric.
